No Man's Land | Feature film

Director / Jottum Kok

Writer / Henk Burger

Producer / DotInk Film

Finn (26), a Frisian musician immersed in Amsterdam’s underground music scene, and Amin (34), a former Iranian kamancheh player, are drawn together by a shared struggle with addiction. As Amin longs for the lost innocence of his childhood in northern Iran, Finn—scarred by years of bullying—recognizes echoes of his own wounds in him. For Amin, opium becomes a way to relive the past; for Finn, party drugs and chemsex offer an escape from it. As their use intensifies, the boundaries between past and present begin to blur, pulling them into a shared spiral where memory and reality start to collapse.

Feature film project currently in development through the Studio Camera Lab.
